Just Statistics?

Every few seconds, somebody comes up with another " every ... seconds" statistic.

They may not be entirely accurate, of course. It is just a mathematical equation the total number of times something happens divided by the number of seconds in that time period. 

So tick off the seconds and see what's happening.

0.1 seconds- Somebody buys a roll of Life Savers.
0.5 seconds- Somebody buys a Barbie doll.
1. second- The US Government spends $121,067. 
The US Government borrows $ 52,162 each second.
9. seconds- An American is born.
13. seconds- An American dies.
19. seconds- A violent crime is committed in the United States.
23. seconds- A car is stolen in the United States.
29. seconds- A U.S child starts to smoke cigarettes.
40. seconds- An American suffers a heart attack.

42. seconds - An American attempts suicide.

60. seconds- A house catches fire in the U.S.

5. Please ekxcuse Wiseman for missing school yesterday. We forgot to get the Sunday paper off            verunda, and when we found it Monday, we thought it was Sunday.

6. Please excuse Burma, she has been sick and under the doctor.

7. Maryann was absent December 11-16, because she had a fever, sore throat, headache and upset stomach. Her sister was also sick, fever and sore throat, her brother had a low grade fever and ached all over. I wasn’t the best either,, sore throat and fever. There must be something going around, her father even got hot last night.

8. Please excuse little Jimmy for not being in school yesterday. His father is gone and I could not get him ready because I was in bed with the doctor.

INTERESTING FACTS !!!!

Before 1997, the fasting sugar level was 140. WHO authorized a panel to bring the level down and it was reduced and fixed at 120. All of a sudden 14% of the world's population became diabetic overnight. In 2003, the American Diabetic association again brought the level down to 100. After this 60 % of the Indian population became diabetic. Do you know who were the members of those panels deciding the fasting sugar level ? 

They are the consultants of the big 7 Pharmaceutical companies in the world.

So in short, it is the Pharma industry that decide whether you are a diabetic or not.

There business is to make money as much as they can, curing people is secondary.
