The term democracy comes from the Greek language and means " rule by the (simple) people."
Third President of the United States Thomas Jefferson said;
"A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one-percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine."
US President Abraham Lincoln defined democracy as:
"Government of the people, by the people, for the people"
In Pakistan democracy can be defined as;
"Government of the rich, by the rich, for the rich"
and people of Pakistan, who cares?
